"I embarked on a coaching programme with Lorna at a period of frustration and stagnation in my professional life and upheaval in my private life. Lorna showed me that I have a solution to any issue, and showed me ways of finding them and steering a true course. By applying what I learned I have a better job, a loyal and a well performing team, and a sense that I can cope easily with whatever is thrown at me".

Steve Breen, Police Inspector

"I am so grateful for the block of sessions I had with Lorna.
She helped me to break out of some stuck places. The Myers Briggs testing was so useful - at a time when I wasn't sure which way to turn after a career break, it helped me to identify what I wanted. Now I am back at work and it feels better than ever before. Highly recommended!"

Liz Withyman, Law Barrister

"I have known Lorna for some time as we had come across each other in our professional lives. A few years ago my post had been subject to organisational change and I found myself looking for new positions. I had personally found the organisational change rather bruising as some of the actions of some senior people may have seen to be devaluing. However, I did manage to secure myself a new position and gain a promotion. My new job would draw on the managerial experience I had, but was in a field that was completely new to me. At the same time as starting this new job, I also embarked on a Masters programme of study. I found myself full of self doubt and wondered if I was really up to this promotion and also up to studying at this level. I kept feeling that I may be "found out"! Although I knew that this was not an unnatural thought process in these circumstances, that knowledge did not help the feelings go away. I have always been quite passionate about my work and doing a good job matters to me.

Around this time I had some coaching sessions with Lorna. I only had three sessions spaced about a month apart, but they made a great difference to me and helped me move from being a rabbit in the headlights into action and naturally the action helped me feel more positive and more capable. The consequence of this was that the feelings of self doubt began to diminish and my confidence grew again.

Recently I had to present a fairly high profile event, the thought of which was making me loose sleep! Once again I sought Lorna out for some support. Lorna listened to my rehearsal and gave me some excellent feedback on some points that needed clarification before the big day. Her feedback was based on a good academic rationale which she seems to have easily at her fingertips.

I feel very lucky to have Lorna as a friend, but also the sort of friend who can be completely professional when the time is needed and not just say "that's all perfect". That would not aid growth. I would recommend her skills; she is knowledgeable, ethical and compassionate. In my book you can't do much better than that".

Tania Tulloch, Senior NHS Manager

"Some of my staff attended a workshop with Lorna and afterwards they described her as enthusiastic, open, welcoming, relaxed, friendly, accepting, and approachable, treats every one as an equal and makes you feel valued.

I phoned Lorna and she came to the ward. What impressed me was, yes she was all the above, but it was her ability to listen and intuitively know what I was trying to achieve. I was amazed at how perceptive, genuine and passionate she was towards me and my team. It is a joy working with Lorna; she is bursting with enthusiasm and generates ideas which are practical and attainable within a busy acute psychiatric ward".

Sylvia Graves, Ward Manager.
